The British Library's Colindale Newspaper Library online, in collaboration with Gale Cengage Learning. This is the original newspaper site from the British Library and at time of writing it is not clear whether it will survive as it is much smaller than the British Library's new site (above). It only covers 47 publications compared to the 174 at the new site. However, it has proved, and will continue to prove so long as it survives, useful for a lot of that reporting which didn't make it to The Times. Pay for access.
The Times Digital Archive. Thankfully now on 'general release' – you must pay for access of course, but at least it isn't restricted to subscribing institutions like libraries and universities anymore!
The London Gazette online. Though much of the material of interest to Crimean War researchers was reprinted in newspapers, it is where promotions, exchanges, movements and some medal entitlements were first published. (See our FAQ page for some direct links to rolls of officers receiving foreign awards for example.)
